Position Summary

The Account Manager (AM) functions as the client’s main point of contact within Imageworks and is responsible for managing scope, schedule and budget for duration of project.The AM is primarily responsible for the successful completion of all assigned projects and will seek out further account penetration where applicable. Professional environment requires cooperative attitude and ability to lead a project team. Incumbent must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, self-motivated and adaptable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Client Relationship + Business Strategy

• Act as a strategic partner with clients specific projects and business in general.
• Strive to grow existing accounts, which requires a deeper level of client relationship building.
• Maintain day-to-day client contact; document all client communications, project changes, approvals, and assignments as they occur in SalesLogix CRM database.
• Proactively set expectations and follow through on commitments to the client and internal project team. .
• Provide regular reports to the client of the status of the project.

Project Management

• Identify scope of work, objectives, and any project obstacles.
• Prepare all project documents (i.e. estimate, project brief, schedule, etc)
• Obtain and evaluate cost estimates from all resources, including outsourced labor.
• Schedule, organize and lead team meetings.
• Gather assets required by creative team or oversee the collection of these assets.
• Keep management of company apprised of any hot issues with a project or an account.
• Ability to handle a number of projects simultaneously and complete them on time, to the highest level of quality.
• Ability to switch gears quickly and function decisively in fluctuating situations.
• Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems in a timely and effective manner.
• Ability to anticipate project hurdles and manage the process effectively to avoid problems and challenges.
• Facilitate communication between team members to create a consistent vision/voice.
• Ability to provide thorough direction and vision to the project team and client.

The intern will support the interactive team on all media projects where needed, and will work under the aid of a project manager on all assignments. They will be expected to work with the team to build and deploy websites and applications, and must be able to effectively meet deadlines without sacrificing project quality. 

The right candidate will possess the desire to succeed, attention to detail, the ability to work in a team and individual environment and a desire to always learn more and push the boundaries. This is a part to full-time internship position, and compensation will be considered if the internship is not being used to fulfill school credit.

Technical Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
• Actionscript, PHP & MySQL (or other server side language) a plus
• Online Portfolio required or links to projects required.
• Joomla / Expression Engine / Wordpress experience a plus.
• Know the fundamentals of image editing software (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash etc.)

• Must be able to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to consistently meet project deadlines and take direction.
• An interest in exploring new technologies.
• Sense of humor, a solid work ethic and a desire to learn.
