Imageworks, a division of Vivid Learning Systems, is searching for a talented individual to assist our interactive and design teams for 2010. This position is on an internship basis and may also be used for school credit.
The intern will support the interactive team on all media projects where needed, and will work under the aid of a project manager on all assignments. They will be expected to work with the team to build and deploy websites and applications, and must be able to effectively meet deadlines without sacrificing project quality.
The right candidate will possess the desire to succeed, attention to detail, the ability to work in a team and individual environment and a desire to always learn more and push the boundaries. This is a part to full-time internship position, and compensation will be considered if the internship is not being used to fulfill school credit.
Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- Actionscript, PHP & MySQL (or other server side language) a plus
- Online Portfolio required or links to projects required.
- Joomla / Expression Engine / Wordpress experience a plus.
- Know the fundamentals of image editing software (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash etc.)
Other Required Skills:
- Must be able to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to consistently meet project deadlines and take direction.
- An interest in exploring new technologies.
- Sense of humor, a solid work ethic and a desire to learn.
